The process of propelling droplets of liquid ink onto paper substrates with assisted drying. Invented in the 1950’s by Canon and made its way into our lives as a low cost home printer, this print process has evolved into industrialised heavy duty printing machines which sit at the top end of the quality spectrum.
Eco – Using water-based ink, high-end ink jet presses have a 25% lower carbon footprint compared to typical litho and digital presses.
As print runs get shorter and quality expectations rise, ink jet printing is our preferred method of delivery. Having the greatest colour gamut of all print processes coupled with flawless reproduction, even the most difficult images can be reproduced perfectly. Instant drying coupled with fully digitised personalisation means ink jet printing can do everything.
With 17 print heads each with 2,048 nozzles, coupled with the ability to control the shape and size of ink drop means we are able to print the most challenging work you can throw at us.
Top Tip:
Priced slightly higher than toner printing, ink jet is ideal for the more demanding jobs.
Ink jet technology has become the norm in large format printing, these large 3m and 5m wide print machines print on rigid and flexible materials to create point of sale graphics, wall papers, fabrics, signage and adhesives. Coupled with UV drying the ink is extremely hard wearing, scratchproof and waterproof.
