Gluing 2 layers of white and/or coloured papers together in a sandwich is called Duplexing and 3 layers is referred to as Triplexing.
Eco – 100% recyclable.
Text: Gluing different coloured sheets together creates a unique and distinctive finish especially when combined with die cutting to highlight the different layers. Working with paper weights from 250g and above, duplexing creates a luxury finish. Often used in the manufacture of premium business cards, invitations and bespoke mailing pieces.
Top Tip:
Try and keep all paper weights the same to avoid curling.
By adding a third layer, such as a coloured seam to match your brand colour, you can create a 750g card that looks and feels great. Other print finishes such as laminating, spot UV varnishing, and embossing can all be added to duplex and triplex cards.
Top Tip:
We can mix colours and materials such as uncoated, textured and gloss laminated papers to create very special effects.
